Abstract
The article presents the research results of blood lipid range in arterial hypertension (AH) patients whilst the use of combined antihypertensive agent Tonorma. The study of the blood lipid profile in AH patients of second degree before treatment detected changes which are typical for activation of atherogenesis: significant increase of total cholesterol (TCHS), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL CHS) and triglycerides (TG), reduction of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL CHS) and significant increase of atherogenic ratio (AR).
On the twentieth day of use of the medication Tonorma, lowering of TCHS in comparison with an average before treatment was 30,5% (p<0,01), LDL CHS – 22,8% (p<0,05), TG – 32,8% (p<0,01), AR decreased in 2,75 times(p<0,001). Increased level of antiatherogenic HDL CHS was 33,7%, which combined with a marked decrease of atherogenic ratio is a proof of antiatherogenic effect of the drug Tonorma.
