Abstract

The article provides data concerning modern methods of thyroid nodules diagnostics based on the recent international recommendations. The article described and analyzed following medical and instrumental methods of examination: ultrasonic examination, fine-needle aspiration (FNA) including cytological and cytochemical examination, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) test, in fТ4, in fТ3, calcitonin, TPOAb, TSHAb, laryngotracheoscopy, CT scan, MRI of neck organs and mediastinum (if medically required), scanning with 131I or 99mТс- pertechnetate, technetril (MIBI — methoxyisobutyl isonitrile) if assumed pathology of parathyroid gland, intraoperative examination (if surgical intrusion required).
