Abstract
The review of 2024 European Society of Cardiology recommendations for the management of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) contains updated and partially changed guidelines for the treatment of AF according to the basic AF-CARE principle, which includes C – «comorbidity and risk factor management» — handing over the appointment of the correction of concomitant diseases and risk factors; A – «avoid stroke and thromboembolism» — measures for specialized consultation and thromboembolism; R – «reduce symptoms by rate and rhythm control» — reducing the severity of symptoms by controlling the frequency of ventricular rates and rhythm control; E – «evaluation and dynamic reassessment» — examination and dynamic observation.
