Abstract

BLS (Basic Life Support) — basic life support — a set of measures aimed at supporting or restoring the vital activity of the body in out-of-hospital conditions, as well as before the arrival of an emergency medical aid team. Basic life support includes: ensuring the patency of the respiratory tract, maintaining external breathing and blood circulation without the use of special equipment, except for personal protective equipment. Sudden circulatory arrest (SCA) is one of the main causes of death in Europe, accounting for 350.000 to 700.000 people per year [1]. During the initial heart rhythm analysis, ventricular fibrillation (VF) is detected in 25-30% of patients with SCA. When the rhythm is registered immediately after loss of consciousness, which is usually performed with the help of an automatic external defibrillator (AED), the proportion of patients with HF can be from 59 to 65% [2]. Most of the victims can be saved in the case of immediate assistance at the scene of the accident. A delay in time leads to the transition of VF to asystole and the death of the patient.
