Abstract
Post-traumatic seizures are among the most common neurological complications of traumatic brain injury and
represent an important predictor of post-traumatic epilepsy. Early recognition of seizures, appropriate risk stratification, and
timely referral are essential components of patient management in clinical practice. This review summarizes current data on the
classification, pathophysiological mechanisms, clinical predictors, diagnostic approaches, and preventive strategies related to
post-traumatic seizures and epilepsy, with particular emphasis on the role of the practicing physician.
