Abstract

The article reveals modern principles of diagnosis and treatment of aortic dissection (AD). The prevalence of AD, its causes, clinical presentation, and the main diagnostic instrumental methods are defined. The article also highlights the treatment approaches for different types of AD. Additionally, a clinical case of chronic AD is described, demonstrating the use of modern endovascular technology in treating AD –specifically, the application of stent grafts.
