Congenital pneumonia in newborns: neonatologist's actions in the first six hours of life and interdisciplinary continuity with the primary care physician

Abstract

The article describes and analyzes the prenatal factors and features of the clinical course, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of congenital pneumonia in newborns. Attention is focused on the criteria for early diagnosis of this pathology by neonatologists, and on the implementation of priority medical interventions to correct pathophysiological disorders that accompany congenital pneumonia in newborns. The importance of observing the continuity of medical monitoring of newborns after discharge from the hospital by a family doctor and cathartic observation in order to prevent the development of complications is emphasized. Modern strategies for the prevention of congenital pneumonia in newborns and methods of effective correction of prenatal factors in pregnant women that affect this pathology are described.
