Abstract

The article explains the main topics of Guidelines for the management of dyslipidemias (2012) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) in the estimation of cardio-vascular risks with SCORE system. In the paper, it is stated that modern goal of lipid-lowering therapy in patients with very high level of cardio-vascular risks. The authors ascribe some problems of implementation statements of these Guidelines in Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the problem of discrepancy of lipid-lowering goals for patients with high and very high level of cardio-vascular risks in blank forms of lipid profile in Ukraine and abroad. In the article, it is elucidated that discrepancies of lipid-lowering goals in blank forms of lipid profile are creating conditions for inadequate lipid-lowering treatment both from the doctor and from the patient.
