Abstract
In recent decades, an increase in the number of older people and a significant deterioration in the health of people in this age are considered. Aging is a gradual involution of tissues and violations of physiological, biological, physical and social functions of human being. The elderly are the most heterogeneous population and are the main consumers of medicines. A rational approach to the drug therapy of elderly patients should be based on an understanding of the age changes in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs. Generally, the use of drugs in older people needs special dosing regimen. In addition, the elderly and senile age people due to polimorbing commonly use larger number of drugs that increases the risk of adverse effects.
