Abstract

The present review article shows the study results regarding the clinical application of citicoline in the course of therapy to treat ischemic stroke, cognitive impairment and cranium cerebral injuries. Study analysis verifies that citicoline group shows much higher survival rate upon the intensive therapy, upon hospital discharge and 6 months follow-up after the injury. Moreover, the therapy with citicoline helps improve the memory verbal function among the elderly patients having cognitive impairment.
