Abstract
The article gives an overview of the problems of psychological nature accompanying conception. Particular attention is paid to the various relevant aspects of traumatic and unwanted conception, surrogate motherhood, cloning, and eugenics. The information is presented taking into account both historical aspects and the state of the question in modern society.
