Abstract
The clinical case highlights the features and atypical course of terminal ileitis complicated by peritonitis with the
formation of multiple interintestinal abscesses and a small-bowel fistula in a patient with diabetes mellitus combined with gout.
The article meticulously and precisely presents the fulminant course of acute surgical abdominal pathology (peritonitis) with
poorly defined clinical manifestation and contradictory findings of clinical examinations. Only due to dynamic patient monitoring
and the implementation of all available diagnostic methods and was the diagnosis established in a timely manner; the patient
underwent emergency surgery, thereby saving his life.
