Abstract
Hypertriglyceridemia is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular complications and acute and chronic
pancreatitis. An increase in triglyceride levels may be due to primary genetic disorders and secondary factors, or their combination. This review article presents information on various forms of primary and secondary hypertriglyceridemia, describes modern possibilities of genetic diagnostics, non-drug and drug correction.
