UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AS A PLATFORM FOR THE INTEGRATION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE INTO THE EDUCATIONAL MODEL AND SCIENTIFIC ENVIRONMENT OF DANYLO HALYTSKY LVIV NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article presents the experience of implementing the pilot project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine aimed
at introducing a modern model of university medicine at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. The concept of
establishing the first multidisciplinary University Hospital in Ukraine as an integrated clinical, educational, and research platform
combining healthcare delivery, medical education, scientific research, and innovation is described. The organizational, educational,
and clinical approaches to integrating the university hospital into the structure of a medical university under the conditions of
healthcare reform and wartime challenges are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the development of a multidisciplinary
healthcare model, simulation-based medical education, clinical and preclinical research, digital transformation, and international
cooperation. The study demonstrates that the establishment of the University Hospital creates a new model of practice-oriented
medical education, strengthens the integration of science and clinical practice, promotes the implementation of innovative
technologies, and improves the quality of healthcare in accordance with modern international standards.
