Abstract
Based on the examination of 277 patients in the long-term period of acute traumatic brain injury, the peculiarities of the timing of onset, clinical manifestations (syndromes) and features of the course of traumatic brain disease depending on the severity of the injury were established. In the majority of the examined patients, traumatic brain disease developed in the period from 1 to 5 years. Men with mild traumatic brain injury under the age of 40 predominated in the structure of victims. The leading clinical manifestations were cephalgia and cognitive disorders, and parkinsonian syndrome was very rare. The obtained data indicate the need to prevent the development of traumatic brain injury during the treatment of acute and intermediate period of traumatic brain injury.
