Abstract
The article provides an overview of domestic and American recommendations for screening clinically asymptomatic individuals of various age groups in order to identify pathologies for which effective treatment methods are known. The concept of screening in health care during the 20th century quickly spread and today is widely accepted in most countries of the world, since the development of the preventive direction in health care is a priority task of every state. It has been scientifically proven that preventing the occurrence of diseases is the most optimal strategy for preserving the health of the population, and prevention of non-communicable diseases is 2.7 times cheaper than treating patients.
