Abstract

Comorbidity is the coexistence of two or more pathogenetically or genetically related diseases in one patient. Every year, the number of patients with comorbid lesions that worsen the course of the main disease or lead to its chronicity, cause disability and premature death, is increasing. A vivid example of combined conditions can be the presence of diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, connective tissue dysplasia (СTD) in a patient with hypertension. CTD are genetically determined conditions characterized by defects of fibrous structures and the main substance of connective tissue (CT), which lead to a violation of the formation of organs and systems, have a progressive course and determine the features of the associated pathology [1].
