Abstract

The article reviews the 2019 European Society of Cardiology Guidelines for the management of patients with chronic coronary syndromes. The attention of the authors is focused on the algorithm of the diagnostic process in the presence of clinical probability of coronary heart disease. Presented are modern approaches both to the assessment of clinical manifestations of the disease and to the optimal choice of a diagnostic strategy, using functional non-invasive tests, assessment of the anatomy of coronary arteries (non-invasive, invasive) and functional characteristics of stenoses. The importance of determining the patient’s risk and performing myocardial revascularization to improve prognosis is emphasized.
