Abstract
The problem of diseases of the digestive system is one of the leading in pediatric, therapeutic practice and gastroenterology in particular. Objective: To summarize the literature and our own experience about the use of extracts of artichoke, turmeric and milk thistle in the treatment of diseases of the digestive system in children and adults. Conclusions: 1. The problem of diseases of the digestive system is one of the important in pediatric, therapeutic practice and gastroenterology in particular. In recent years, an increase of liver and biliary diseases among adults and children. 2. The most-studied plants are artichoke, milk thistle and turmeric. Their combined use requires further study in clinical practice in patients with disorders of the biliary tract.
