Allergic rhinitis. Features of treatment

Abstract

It had been examined 30 patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) in the age of from 18 to 43 years – 13 men and 17 women. Every patient had general and functional examinations and typical allergic screening. 15 patients with SAR (I – primary group) took 1 or 2 H1-histamine antagonists for 30 days, 1 injection of Kromofarm® (2% nasal spray) into each nostril 3-4 times daily and nasal decongestants (if necessary); 15 patients (II – control group) received 1 or 2 H1-histamine antagonists for 30 days and nasal decongestants (if necessary). Research results demonstrate the high clinical efficacy of Kromofarm® in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis that allows the use of this drug in treatment of patients with the above.
