Abstract

Skin lesions are frequent clinical signs of systemic vasculitis with involvement of small and medium vessels. The spectrum of dermatological manifestations depends largely on the size of the vessels involved in the pathological process, and immunopathological specificity of vasculitis. Histological examination of the skin is important to confirm the diagnosis of vasculitis, helps in early differential diagnosis and timely appointment of adequate therapy. An important task of the doctor is suspected when systemic vasculitis with severe multiple organ is hidden behind dermatologic manifestations. The article presents the clinical and histological findings of skin lesions in various systemic vasculitis, as well as existing algorithms for differential diagnosis.
