Abstract
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are widely used as symptomatic and pathogenetic treatment in pediatric patients. Among them at present, selective NSAIDs are preferred. Nimesulide is a highly effective and safe selective NSAID, which has a lower risk of gastrointestinal complications compared with nonselective representatives of this drug group, and can be used in children older than 12 years of age with antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory purposes.
