Abstract

The aim of the aftermarketing investigation was to study analgesic efficacy of combined therapy with Naproff (naproxen sodium) and complex Protecta in the treatment of patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and hip. In the study group (45 patients) the conservative treatment with Naproff and chondroprotector Protecta were used. In the control group (45 patients) were administered paracetamol and complex Protecta. Treatment continued for 3 months. Found that the combined use of the drug Naproff and Protecta provides significantly better analgesic therapy in patients with osteoarthritis of the hip and knee joints in cases of severe to moderate pain. At the same time the use of paracetamol in combination with the Protecta is sufficiently effective only in patients with moderate pain and ineffective in patients with severe pain. In general, the positive results obtained in analgesic therapy 75,5% of cases the main group and 46,6% of control (p<0,05).
