Анотація
В оглядовій статті наведено аргументи «за» й «проти» використання статинотерапії для первинної профілактики інсульту. Зі збільшенням і поширенням сучасних інструментальних методів оцінки атеросклеротичного ураження судин наочно доведено зменшення в розмірі («стабілізація») атеросклеротичних бляшок під дією статинів. Чимало досліджень проведено й щодо визначення безпеки статинотерапії. Їхні результати свідчать про те, що користь статинотерапії в групах помірного й високого ризику виникнення ССЗ значно переважає шкоду при їх застосуванні. Дані багатьох досліджень свідчать, що застосування статинів для первинної профілактики серцево-судинних захворювань є необхідним компонентом і доведеним фактом.
